Next Gen Premier Event

Northwest: July 21–22 | Estacada, OR

The first Premier Event of the year kicked off in the Northwest with 94 competitors from four states and two countries including Alaska & Canada.

It was held at the prestigious Milo Mciver Riverbends Disc Golf Course in the Beaver State Fling layout.

From the start, Quinn Rodius, a finalist from last year’s championships took the lead playing consistent golf breaking par both rounds. On his tail was fellow Washington golfer and 2017 finalist Jace Foster trailing by one.

On Sunday, Rodius maintained his consistent play. Van Fleet and Skaale made their move while Foster and Matthew Hill claimed the final two slots in the featured finals.

In the finals, Van fleet played hot and kept Rodius honest. Foster struggled with a finger injury and Skaale played strong claiming the number three spot. Hill played solid but like Foster, just fell short of qualifying for nationals.

In the Knights division, Callahan lead the way and looked to make the overall final but fell just two strokes short of qualifying for Nationals. He maintained his lead over Luedecke while Livermash and Stad made late runs. Callahan took home the win

In the Saints division, Roscoe lead from the start and claimed the divisional victory. There was a great battle for second, but in the end, Phillip Raschkow beat Niko Smith by two strokes.

The three that earned National invites were Rodius, Van fleet, and Skaale.

The putting contest was won by Chance Stad with the first ever perfect score!!

The distance competition was an upset when returning distance champion Quinn Rodius was taken down by Micheal Robinson who blasted a Ballista Pro and claimed the title.

There were no aces, but a full payout from the handbook was awarded summing up to about 30k!

The weather was beautiful!!
