Mountain East Premier Event is in the books! It was a fantastic weekend of disc golf in Denver Colorado.
Gladiator winner: John Collins
Knight winner: Kevin Kanzler
Saint winner: Andrew Melton
Knight Kevin Kanzler and Gladiator Rob Gilmore battled in a playoff for the 5th spot in the final 9. Due to an unlucky shot by Kanzler, Gilmore made the cut. He joined Ethan Boyd, David Baca, Chris Moss, and Andrew Melton (the first Saint to make the final 9).
The Final 9 had a 30 minute lightning delay after the first hole. On the final par 4 Baca had a 1 stroke lead. Moss took a 6, Boyd took a 3, and Baca shot a 4. Boyd and Baca went on to a sudden death playoff that was settled with Baca hitting a 25” birdie to break the tie.
Ethan Boyd, David Baca, and Chris Moss are going to the National Championship in Fountain Hills Arizona.
